Re: Alberto Gonzales: iboats No Confidence Poll

Once again, I do not support either main party, I am not a "lib" although I do agree with some of the principles. I am not a conservative either, although I do agree with some of the principles. Right now I see no candidate for president of either party that seems worthwhile. No one is my "leader" and I actually am not "parroting" anybody. Don't read the MSM except to read a few opinion columnists from either "side" and to check out the funny pages and the crosswords. I have no TV and haven't had one since 1989. I do know enough to know though that Fox is also "MSM"...

So, what seems obvious to you is actually overly simplified and wrong.

Re: Alberto Gonzales: iboats No Confidence Poll

Now, my friend, you are just getting rude, mean and not worth talking to anymore.

Ya feel better now that you've call me some names? Hope so. Ya know Rat: some people I've met are just negative. I have no idea if that is the way you approach the world or look in the mirror but that is a reasonable guess from this perspective after a few back and forths with ya. Ya haven't had a TV since 1989 but ya agree with Mr. Tree's false NEGATIVE statement about Fox news, (how would you know enough to reach such a cornclusion?), but it is negative just as yer cornclusion about me is. I am actually a positive, optimistic, patriotic, American with some knowlege of history and current events who luvs his Country, and thinks all of my fellow Americans are incredibly blessed to be born or have legally imigrated to live and work here. I think our President, (that is all of our President: Rat) is actually quite compitent, (the opposite of Mr George Soros' points that you seem to repeat every time you make a negative statement about the Country I luv). Someone with yer very dark views, that you refuse to support when challanged, (maybe because they aren't supportable cornclusions they are jus' negative feelings you and others have), is very hard for me to debate with so maybe it is better we just avoid each other as you wish.

Which is usually where these kinds of conversations go here at DC.

Sometimes, but NOT: usually Note the negative path you choose at every fork in the road: Rat.

I have a brain, and I have had one for years, and it is now reminding me that discussing anything of import with "people like you" is a big fat waste of time and bandwidth. My personal "security" has nothing at all to do with what people on iboats think of my posts here, which is a good thing!

I'm sure you do have a brain, (jus' one that seems to focus on all bad things: nothing good) but yer dislike of the discourse here on DC, (before I ever got here) is due to yer unsupported negative rants, which brings people like me with an opposing view out to challange ya.

You have continually scolded me and others for reading more than just your words, yet that seems to be what you are doing in almost every post. Why don't you try following your own advice, and stop trying to tell me who I am and what and how I think?

I draw cornclusions from yer words: Rat, ya may not like me cornclusions but that is where I got 'em.

I'm done with this silly "conversation". You can call yourself the victor if you need to, I don't care.

No "victor" here: Rat, but I shall try to respect yer wishes as much as I can. There are other posters here that I have crossed swords with that had a cornclusion to agree to disagree. If you make an unsupported contrary statement in a thread I'm posting I may post a reply, but other then that I will leave you be. Good Luck!! Respectfully, JR

I would think that an "independent" would have it at least one positive thing to say about ANY Republican. Have yet to see that from you tree or you rat, ever.

If it quacks like a dem and walks like a dem......

Woodrat, I would be interested in hearing what gives you pause or concern regarding Mitt Romney...

Ooo?. care to point one out in this administration, what few there were, was pushed out by second term. Myself I always thought of Republicans to be the party of fiscal responsibility.

< The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $1.41 billion per day since September 29, 2006! Concerned? >

I was under the impression that the underlying value that motivates typical Republicans is a return to more Constitutional government. This administration continues to laugh at the constitution and treat it like it?s just a piece of paper.

In the state of Illinois they are having a funding crises because the Republicans in the State don?t want spend the money the State don?t have, fiscal responsibility, real Republicans.

When this administration was campaigning and they were calling themselves Republicans, it was high on their agenda to put a stop to the illegal immigration. Six plus years later we are getting something, they are trying to get a social security card verifier, for employers to be able to verify if the card Is legit. It?s a good start just a bit late. Here is a short video that you just might enjoy Eric.

O yes, I almost forgot that old saw, if it clicks it heals when it marches, it must be a ????

Here are some of the ones that baled on this so-called ?Republican Administration?, plus a few quotes from ?Real Republicans? on this administration.

Monday, November 15, 2004-- U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell announced he was resigning along with Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman, Education Secretary Rod Paige and Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham.

<Here is a quote from former U.S. Senator Marlow Cook of Kentucky a Republican<, "For me, as a Republican, I feel that when my party gives me a dangerous leader who flouts the truth, takes the country into an undeclared war and then adds a war on terrorism to it without debate by the Congress, we have a duty to rid ourselves of those who are taking our country on a perilous ride in the wrong direction.>

Here is a quote from the son of a former President <"As son of a Republican president, Dwight D. Eisenhower, it is automatically expected by many that I am a Republican. For 50 years, through the election of 2000, I was.? -- Ambassador John Eisenhower.?>

And I agree with you on the spending and I also hated the immigration bill, and I let my representatives know this. But in the overall picture, I am pleased with the last 6 years.

If you want to "cherry pick" we can do that for as long as you want.

I have a dem Senator, Ben Nelson that I think is great. I also have chuck hagel that I think is a total jackass and he knows how I feel.

Hey Rat, I dug up a bone n' see ya voted Nader, n' third partys n' Dems n one Repub, so yer a bit of a hard Left leanin' independent it would seem as of 11/2004. (There are hair balls in the Republican party a person could find ta vote for if yer political instincts are to the hard Left as they seem to be at that time). JR
