Alpha 1 no trim up

Lower unit trim works going down only . It is completely dead in the up position . Dead from both the shifter and the trailer swith . It does work when you jump the solenoid .
Outdrive is alpha one 1982
engine 350 260 horse

any help is greatly appreciated .

It does work when you jump the solenoid

Not sure what that means, when you jump the big lugs (solenoid bad)or if you jump using a wire to the small lug(wiring bad) to operate the solenoid.

I jumped the big lugs .... sorry wasnt very specific . Are those solenoids both the same on that pump unit ??

Both the same. Might want to check for corrosion where the buss bar connects across both solenoids. If there clean, the replace the solenoid.

I checked the bus bar etc. I have no signal coming from the switch down to the solenoid . I will have to find wiring schematic and trace it out ... thanks for the help .
