This Late Winter/Early Spring I replaced all bellows, water lines and cables. Finally had time and money to get boat out to the lake for a day of fun. I Found that I had a leak from the outdrive
. I have a 94' Alpha 1 (gen 2) outdrive, and the leak is coming from halfway down the outdrive from the area of the speedo tube hookup to the lower unit. I pulled lower unit to be sure all seals were in place, and looks to me they are. While lower unit was off, I noticed oil leaking from the upper unit, same area. Where the forward/Reverse shaft comes out of upper casting, there is a slot on bow side of casting where there is oil seeping out (must of been were it was coming from in the first place, just was too hard to see in there with the lower unit on). Is there A seal on the transom I missed or something of that matter?
I appreciate your help in advanced.
