I'm not Bond-o, but you do not need, nor do you want, any sealant - much less RTV - on the bell housing gasket. It goes on dry. Now that you have the bell housing off, you can get to work at getting the brass part out.
Oh yeah - on the hose. Be sure to get the right OEM hose. Forget trying heater hose or anything like that. Make sure it is the right length when re-installing as well.
