Me again with the non-running 57 seahorse.
I pulled the carb to clean it again as it stillwont run despite new plugs, coils, points, condensor, wires and carb rebuild X 2. I made sure the crank key is intact and that the flywheel is torqued.
I took the carb off and looked in the intake hole only to see a machined aluminum looking plate. There are 4 holes there. There is some solid looking material in the holes that do not open or shut when I pull the rope. I sprayed carb cleaner in the intake as a ersatz starting fluid and it wont fire. Do I have reed valves in here?
The coil packs and crank cam were missing when I got the motor.
