A absolute rule of politics 101:
The party in power wants to emphasize the successes.
True.
The party out of power wants to point out the mistakes.
True again. 'Cept Dems prior to Camelot (JFK), n' most Repubs leave politics at the waters edge in matters of WAR. Most Modern dim wit Dems always openly side with any enemy of America.
In this particular instance, where there are no successes to emphasize, point out that the opposition is always negative.
Hmmmmm, the economy is worse the the Great Depression: right? After the hit from dot bombs in 1999-2000, recession, 9/11, Katrina, Lybia folds, A Q Kahn outa bidness, UN food fer oil ta pad Liberal Europeans pockets done. Hmmmmmm no successes: Yasureyabetcha!
