I guess you could say they are both inmates and one of the reasons us Chino Hilleans prefer to maintain the distinction . . .

Gold diggin' Lesbo no less!! :D:D;) I think she had a big margined position in Real networks which got bombed in 99', n' she had trouble payin' her staff. That was then and she's been in power fer a bit now so maybe she reloaded at taxpayer's expense eh Bro? You = bad, I'd do it fer the sport!!! JR (Me = Bad too!!!) :D

Re: "An Investment in Failure"

Did ya read Dr. Sowell's article: PW2? I thought it correctly cited some specifics, (The Economist article, China, India, Blacks ta name jus' a few). Ya already been smokin' the ol' wacky tabackeeee early in the mornin' PW2????? Try readin' the article n' the Economist article after it wears off prior ta firin' up the next pipe load!! JR

Well, I reread it. Same conclusion.

I did not take the time to research the "economist"... But hey, I doubt if it would make much difference.

The gist of the thread seems to be "Left likes to concentrate their attention on what's wrong"

Duh!!!

If I'm working on an engine that is missing the spark plugs, and I want the engine to run, the fact that the pistons, rings, and bearings are perfect is of little comfort. It isn't going to run untill I find some spark plugs, and I'm going to concentrate on that.

A absolute rule of politics 101:

The party in power wants to emphasize the successes.

The party out of power wants to point out the mistakes.

In this particular instance, where there are no successes to emphasize, point out that the opposition is always negative.

Hardly an earth shattering revelation. How much does Sowell make writing these things?

Oh, and who is this Marx character, and what office is he running for?

That was the meatiest part of the read, (some positive facts about South America)

True.

The party out of power wants to point out the mistakes.

True again. 'Cept Dems prior to Camelot (JFK), n' most Repubs leave politics at the waters edge in matters of WAR. Most Modern dim wit Dems always openly side with any enemy of America.

In this particular instance, where there are no successes to emphasize, point out that the opposition is always negative.

Hmmmmm, the economy is worse the the Great Depression: right? After the hit from dot bombs in 1999-2000, recession, 9/11, Katrina, Lybia folds, A Q Kahn outa bidness, UN food fer oil ta pad Liberal Europeans pockets done. Hmmmmmm no successes: Yasureyabetcha!

Hardly an earth shattering revelation. How much does Sowell make writing these things?

Who knows or cares? They stand on their own merrit. Why shoot messingers? Deal with the VALID SUBJECT of the Message!

Oh, and who is this Marx character, and what office is he running for?

The Icon of Hillary n' many others in Liberal dim wit Dem circles. 'splains their tactics!! Ends justify the means ring a bell? Respectfully, JR
