Here is a photo from above. the high rise residents from the beach call us "smirfville". Taking a mountain boy and put him here took some getting used to, but I love it. Very laid back, but with something going on all the time. It may never be the same when the snowbirds return after the gathering. .

This is the boaters tiki hut, left and byob, and a restaurant next door, right. I could easily put up a tent along the waters edge for lounging, or whatever.

The grocery store is at the marina too.

I Havn't been around much since getting back from St Augustine. Sorry about that. So much to catch up on. Lot's of work to be done at home; and getting all the hours I can (within reason) at work.

We had talked about an adults only get together this time. I may or may not be able to leave the children for a week in September. I'll keep you posted. Just let me know whether or not it will be OK to bring them if we can't make arrangements for them.

Looks like a great way to have a downfall. And hanging around all that is there sounds good to me. I took a day off today to try and finish up my floating dock and it is so smokey outside till it is hard to breathe, so I came in the house for awhile to get some better air, heading out to try again. I am ready for Sept to get here.

Are there brush fires in your area now? Where's the smoke coming from? Other than heavy cloud cover, it's all clear in my area. I really don't stay on top of current events. I need to work on that.

Yes, the Hinesville area is burning, that is very close to home, the smoke was so thick this morning that the treeline that is maybe at most a mile across the marsh from me that all I could see was a shadow of the treeline, it was too thick for me to stay out, a couple hours later the wind had changed and the smoke had cleared enough for me to work outside. I stayed out till almost 6PM, got a lot done, I think I am getting old, the hear used to not bother me like it does now, course I used to be out in it all the time, it does make a difference. Come on September.
