I will do my best to make a long story short! Before anything this forum has been such a great bank of knowledge - before making an account I have bookmarked a lot of helpful threads on my new journey of boat ownership.
So heres my issue, have a '58 Super Seahorse 35. When I purchased the boat/motor we had it fired up right away and it was running smoothly but it wasn't 100%. New plugs, new wires, rebuilt fuel pump. It pumped water as it should. Bought it with the carb rebuilt but i was skeptical.
Purchased a carb rebuilt kit and took her apart and found some questionable things to say the least. I need some guidence.
The more i took apart the more questions I had. I cannot find an exploded view that aligns with the carb that I have. Or im missing enough to make me a bit confused.. Packing nut does not fit - it was threaded into gaskets.. There were alot of washers, o-rings in places that didnt make sense. The carb seems very simple but I am losing confidence! I have the float/needle all set. Easy peasy. Just the needles and orientation is where im lost
Photos always help, With what I have provided does all of this look correct? Oh, boy.
