Hey guys I've got a 2000 Johnson 150 ocean pro. It is pristine well maintained and runs like a sewing machine however recently the air side of the vro pump failed so I rebuilt it using the factory original brp kit. I was very meticulous and very careful and have double triple and quadruple checked the rebuild for some reason the engine is running slobbering rich. Let me tell you I have checked everything I've checked for fuel leaks and air in line have checked for oil leaks and air in line. Just on principle I even set up a 6 gallon tank with a brand new primer ball directly to the engine just to eliminate any air leak possibility. I have hooked up
Up a clear piece of tubing in line with oil and fuel to check for air bubbles and there are none. Right now at idle the pump cycles aproximately every 9 seconds and I can't find if that's abnormally high or not. I really enjoy the VRO because it has served me well for many years and I don't want to have to mix oil.....I'm open for any ideas or suggestions.
