I have a 1995 Roberts flats boat with a 1995 88 special. I am having a problem with a blockage in fuel line and I do not know where the fuel draw tube is or what it is for that matter. Also what and where is the anti siphon valve?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posts: 4 | From: St. Pete | Registered: Mar 2004 | IP: Logged

Bass Runner
Captain
Member # 39511

posted April 24, 2004 12:10 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know anything about Robert's boats but the fuel draw tube is in your gas tank (where the fuel line hooks up)usally they have a screen on the bottom of the tube that will get plugged if you get rust or dirt in the tank, just pull the tube out and look at it, I run a inline fuel filter in all my boats you can tell if you have trash because you can see it in the filter, the anti siphon valve is usally in the primer ball, just lets fuel run one way, make sure the arrow on the bulb is pointed towards the motor (not towards the tank)also some siphon tubes have the anti syphon valve in the fitting at the top of the tank. Hope all this helps it is this way on all permanate mount and portable tanks.

--------------------
72 Chrysler pro bass runner16'cathedral hull 70hp Johnson (current project) 68 Hustler 15' 33 Evinrude (next)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posts: 214 | From: Oklahoma | Registered: Apr 2004 | IP: Logged

MDeVito
First Mate
Member # 38980

posted April 24, 2004 12:44 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you!
