Re: any one into avation?
gaugeguy,

I don't know if I had the need for speed that day, but I'll tell you what, I got it !!

The launch off the carrier was probably the most intense.

As we where waiting to launch, which took a couple of minutes, we were sitting on the catapult, throttles set for take-off, the Tomcat was shaking like mad, there seemed to be some sort of another delay, and we just stayed, ready to launch at any second, I decided, in my infamous wisdom, to relax just a little bit, and guess what, they sent us on our way down the deck.

Talk about getting pinned in your seat!

Being I relaxed that little bit, the handles in front of me, which I was holding onto, suddenly became impossible to reach after my hands were no longer clutching them, pinning me further into my seat, which really isn't a seat, the cushion is your parachute.

We were in the air so fast, I just couldn't explain the experience, it was incredible.

I could go on and on, but I'll save you the boredom.
