I really like the layout on the older (80's) Carver 3607 aft cabins. There are quite a few out there at reasonable prices for the working man.
I like the centre line berth in the aft cabin, full size fridge in the galley, Crusader engines often found in them, gen sets, 2 heads, ample room, nice lines, fly bridge, etc.
What I don't like, is the extensive use of wall to wall carpet. I assume this is likely due to sound dampening and/or cost cutting but, I don't particularly care for carpet.... no, I really dislike carpet.
Are there Carvers out there, or similar layout boats without carpet?
Yes, I've seen the $100k ++++ trawlers out there with teak or holly soles; but the $25k to $65K boats... not so much.
On a side post, anyone else "strongly dislike" carpet?
Merry Christmas,
Just five and half more months before I can put the boat back in the water.......
