Anybody used the Rust-Oleum 10x wood restorer on your wooden deck/flooring?

So, I got this old boat....it's an aluminum hulled runabout, and I'm keeping costs low (crossing fingers, toes, and eyes, as I've been lucky sooooo far), and I was wondering: I could either A) shell out money for new wood, sealant, and UV protection for a NEW floor (plus dealing with cutting out the new floor) OR B) the original owner has given me the original flooring, that while aged a bit, still seems to be sturdy and solid. Any opinions from you great boat builders and restorers on the prospect of using that Rust-Oleum 10X Wood Restoration stuff that the orange box store sells? Or is it more snake oil? (appreciate any help, and love reading/seeing what the rest of you are doing or have done with your boats!)

A few people have used it and they say they like it right after they install it, but I haven't heard any of them talk about if they still like it after it's been on a while.

I would think the rough texture would collect and trap dirt and crud making for a unattractive mess to try and clean up.

My daughter used it on her Home Deck. NOT a boat deck. They Did NOT do a good job on prep. I told her it was ALL about the prep. She did NOT listen!!! It's been about a year and it's already coming off and looks like a Blotchy Mess!!!! Looked nice at first and was very grippy and easy on the feet. I think IF you prep properly and apply properyly it would be acceptable. At first it seemed to clean and wash off really easily. But once it started peeling...It was a catastrophe!!!!

Jas used it on his Islander project, but that's still in dry dock & hasn't been put into service. I don't think any of his other projects has it...

I think you'd be better off using something else, if it was good stuff the people that have used it would be on here telling us how great it is and how they highly recommend it.

I personally like the Nautolex marine deck vinyl, and one of the members here was asking me about my vinyl after he did his boat with the 10x restore and doesn't want to talk about the 10x restore now... so that might tell you something right there.
