So, I got this old boat....it's an aluminum hulled runabout, and I'm keeping costs low (crossing fingers, toes, and eyes, as I've been lucky sooooo far), and I was wondering: I could either A) shell out money for new wood, sealant, and UV protection for a NEW floor (plus dealing with cutting out the new floor) OR B) the original owner has given me the original flooring, that while aged a bit, still seems to be sturdy and solid. Any opinions from you great boat builders and restorers on the prospect of using that Rust-Oleum 10X Wood Restoration stuff that the orange box store sells? Or is it more snake oil? (appreciate any help, and love reading/seeing what the rest of you are doing or have done with your boats!)
