What's there to be worried about at this point ? Just take your time and follow page 71 and 72 closely in the manual. Just make sure your marks on the gears are all lined up with the ones on the belt, and then set the tensioner right.

not worried about putting it back together, worried about the timing actually being off... ive basically tried / replaced eveythin to get this thing going past 12 mph... ive nailed it down to this problem... and it seem like theres nothing else engine wise that could be bad...

lol, its the truman show :O ive got everything in the boat ready, mounted my brand new HDS 5 from lowrance, got my new stereo in, got the Motorguide wireless trolling motor mounted, new fishing seats, new lights on the trailer... man im excited!!!! ill get some pics when shes all done and going 80MPH on the water, i know that volvo has enough to do 80... <smokes a little bit more>

you guys have been a really big help, its easier working on other peoples stuff...

well shes alive!!!! i cant wait to get her on the water, seems like shes running a little weird tho... dosnt seem to run any better or worse... timing is dead on, and i had to adjust the timing as well, was off pretty good, and also the idle... so seems like i was off just enough to **** her off... ill be doing my final checks tomorrow... thanks again guys... im hoping i dont have to bug you guys ever again

is there anything else that would kill the power like that other than cam or ignition timing??? everybody ive talked to has said fuel out the top of the carb at wot and bogging is cam timing... any thoughts?? everything else is ready to rock... cant wait to see how fast i go!!!

now i have a leaking outboard, but who cares!!!!! thats easy!!!!! gotta get that serviced anyhow, thats the expensive part... im placing a big order at iboats right now for all the interior parts right now...

Glad it's going again, gotta ask, what prop are you running, what positition is the drive set pin in, and what was your WOT rpm?

running a 14x17 3 blade, wot in salt and 6 foot swells was right around 5K, a little high for me... drive set pin is at 95* and i beleive its the bottom pin...

my boat is 17 foot 1 inch...
