Re: Aq131A Video Please Help

no vacuum ports on there,

now im screwed, i cant for the life of me get the crank bolt out, cant get a impact in there, so a breaker bar it is, but no luck getting it off...

so im not thinking straight, if i line up all the lines on the timing belt with the pullys, im good to go right? i know theres a compression and exhaust stroke for the crank but it still is the same as long as it lines up... im so tired of tinkering its rediculous... any advice would rock...

That is correct. The belt supposedly has a double line on it to line with the mark on the crank. Intermediate and cam have a single line on the belt.

So is the problem the crank keeps turning as you try to loosen the bolt. If you have a strap wrench you can try putting it on the pulley to hold it.

I am going to get slammed for this but have you hit it straight on with a hammer? Helps on some bolts.

Have you tried the starter trick?

I don't understand
3 foot breaker bar just bends the crank holder

Didn't think long enough. If your crank holder is bending you can always pull the starter and use the flywheel ring gear to hold.

Here's something you can try. With the old belt on the crank pulley pinch it together and pull tight straight up. DO NOT HAVE IT GOING AROUND THE INTERMEDIATE PULLEY. Now keeping it pinched together go around the old tensioner pulley and pull down hard. Now while pulling it down tight put it together with the belt coming up from the crank and clamp all 4 thickness's of belt together with a c-clamp or such.

Never had much luck using a puller on a tight balancer, opposing pry bars work the best.

If it has started to move, soak the back side with a mix of acetone and ATF. Push it back on and keep working it in and out. I would take a close look at the raw water pump for leaks out the rear seal if the balancer is that hard to pull.

No balancer on this. Just a pulley which fits the crank tightly like a balancer would.

Are there any threaded holes in the pulley which you could use a crows foot puller with?

Re: Aq131A Video Please Help

Penta refers to it as ( 855476, Vibration damper)

Not a true harmonic balancer as there is no rubber damper in it.

Re: Aq131A Video Please Help

Sounds like about all you can do now is cut it off and get a new one. I would take a reciprocating saw and cut away about 1/3 of the pulley down to the center hub of the pulley which is in contact with the crank. Then I would use a fiber cut off wheel in a dremel tool to cut away an area of the center hub of the pulley down to the crank. The pulley should then seperate enough at the cut to be loose and come off. By looking at the picture #288 on page 91 in the manual it doesn't look like it's really on the shaft that far. I've cut bearing races like this before with dremel tools to get them off shafts.
