I ride the 4-wheeled variety. Not the utility quads, but the oh-so-dangerous sport variety. You won't find racks on my speed machine.

My girlfriend actually got me into the sport, she has a 400EX that she bought shortly before we got together, and I now ride a 1986 250R.

My first bike was a minibike that I fitted with a 10hp Briggs. Went from that to a Honda XL75, then to a CR80 and hit the dirt tracks for a little motocross racing. From there to a Kawasiki 175 for a few months. Junked that and went to a Honda 100, then a Honda 350.
Got out of racing bikes and went to 3 wheelers back in those days there were no 4 wheelers yet.
From there to racing stock cars and drag cars.
Drag raced bikes for a while in street classes.
Next bike was a Yamaha 400. Not a bad bike but a little small. My wife started driving that and I got a new one. Got a Yamaha Virago 750. That one was great, but got poor and sold it. Also had a Kawasiki 440, and a few others too numerous to mention.
Latest project, helping a friend build minichoppers. Good business start. We are marketing to women who like choppers but can't fit the big dogs. Latest one he has on the block is a Yamaha 250 street dirt bike. Chopped and raked, HD tanks, about an 8 foot stretch from rear tire to frnt tire. Sits about 18 inches high in the seat with little ape hangers. Cruises down the highway at around 90ph real smooth.

RIGHT HERE!
In the early 60's my dad bought me and my brother a Mortgomery Wards 50cc used for a 100.00,and that was just the start of a long term love affair with all motorized objects.
Soon after mastering than bike it was time to move up,so my dad bought us each a 1964 Yamaha 80 with a stamped frame and thats when it happened. We got out in the garage with a hack saw and started to reduce these bikes into racing dirt bikes.OH what a sight!
We soon found myself and family fully into racing moto-cross,Now remember this is the mid 60's.As we got better we moved up to many different bikes,(Yamaha 80,Honda 100,Sachs 125,Kawasiki 125,many Suzuki's)It seemed that the bikes didnt last too long for me and my brother as we were real hard on these things, and sponsers were almost non existance at the later 60's.
So then my dad started working at the local tracks to offset the costs. We worked every weekend at the tracks,(3 and 4 in our area,So Calif). As time went on and we worked and rode lots of the racing circuits, winning, losing, and lots of broken bones.
I still ride to this day and my chioce of poison is A 2004 Suzuki RM 250,I dont race anymore as its too painful just to get out of bed everyday,I'm 48.
Thanks for the blast into the past!!!!!!

My uncle gave me a little mini bike when I was about 8. From there, I bought a 1970 Kawasaki KM100 off my other uncle. My Dad bought a 1987 Yamaha Warrior, shortly after, which he rarely rode. I must've put a few thousand hours on that thing. All of those have been sold. I'm now 16 and am riding my uncle's Yamaha YZ125. I don't even know what year it is but guessing by the colors it's in the '80s. I'm no longer allowed to ride in the yard even though we have two acres, because we now have two acres of torn up sod. :D
I enjoy boating more now because it's less likely that the liberals and enviromentalists will take that away from me anytime soon.

I know thsi is an old post but i just found it. iv had countless bikes now i have a xr75 xr80 xr100 cr85 bigwheel yz125 yzf250f and an atv yamaha Grizzly 700
I love riding its part of my life but lately iv been having to many run ins with the cops because nabors people i called "friends" call the cops for no reason? and the weight on the street for us to cross a 10ft wide cross? Its uncomprehendable to me. But when I'm on the bikes i don't stop anymore for anyone id rather total the bike and go to jail before i stop to get yelled at by some fat guy who has a stick up his ***. (VENTING)

Not any more. They kept dying right after leaving the end of the pier.

Those are so much fun just sold 2 xr50s they are small enough to not need a big truck and trailer, cheep enough and not to much $ to put mods on and neighbors don't have as much of a problem with them. That's a sweet track.

I ride street and dirt. switched from dirtbikes to Sportquads a few years back. I love it. Both street and dirt have their challenges and are equally dangerous for me. 40 years old and still high siding off the darn thing now and then LOL
My girlfriend and our sons ride both as well.
