The lake we camp, fish, and boat is fed by a narrow creek, ( where we camp) the fishing in the creek is really good, but I am uneasy about taking the 18 up the creek for fear of running aground. I have been on the hunt for a 12 too 14 ft tinnie. They are real hard to find in my area and carry a handsome price, but today the wait has paid off. After four hours in the shade of the hanger, along with the polisher, and a bunch of polish this is what is going to the lake in the morning.

Fishing shallow creeks in Deep Water, oh the irony:p The red & bare look great together:)

I had visions of bare until the bedliner about beat me.

Beat down, yes. Beat nope.....:D

As I started on mine today in earnest, I must ask, this a trailerable or a stowable in the truck?

60" is pretty wide for a 12'. Nice score. MBS isn't so bad, you learn to live with it. You know what I say "The cure is worse than the disease". Good luck with your affliction!

There is a support group on the internet for MBS. I'll post a link if I find it.:p

Glen! That is a sweet 12 footer! Looks really more like a 14. Great for the small water man, water ready and everything;)

D2 - How do you find these tinnies that only need a spit shine on the outside hull? This one looks good inside and out. She should be a great creek boat. Fish on!

Ahh, Craigs List Disorder. Common with MBS, one usually leads to the other.

And I didn't seriously consider the FC Clipper either:facepalm:

Because surely it's either the heat or something else causing me to be irritable ever since I found out it was sold:eek:

Re: As B2 says MBS is incurable ( simple boat carrier added)

I wanted to build a simple boat carrier for this boat for the back of my short box pickup, and still be able to put all my gear in the box. Plus it had to be easy to put on the truck and the boat had to be one man loadable. This what I came up with, I have $14 in parts and about four hours work. The whole thing is built out of 7/8"oil well sucker rod, 4'of 1 3/4" tubing and 8"s of 3X2 angle. The 1 3/4 is for the stack pockets, the sucker rod is for the slide bars and cross supports, I also cut two 6"pieces of 1"black pipe length wise to make slides to run on top of the 7/8 rod, for loading.

There are four 3" X1/4"bolds that go through holes in the transom corners so the boat stays put on the 7/8 sliding cross brace

Couple more in the next post

Re: As B2 says MBS is incurable ( simple boat carrier added)

There are only four parts to the whole carrier, plus the 4 four 1/4 inch bolts and 2, 1/8 hair pins for the rear support bar, it all comes out in 30 second and can go back in in the same amount of time. The boat get singed down with three ratchet strapes to the factory installed lugs in the truck box, one on each transom handle and one over the bow.

Slick and cheap. Bottom feeder friendly. Any problems with the overhang from the ticket writers?

I had one other question, Dozer. How many jumpjacks are going up and down with no pump rod?
