Re: Bad Modification

That happens up here at Possum Lake all of the time.;) As Red Green says, duct tape is the handymans secret weapon.:D Besides that, if the engine quits you have a way to reach shore if you remembered your pocket knife, right Dalton?
I'm pullin' for ya. We're all in this together.

Re: Bad Modification

Another positive reason for an outboard. Can't do that with a stern drive.

Re: Bad Modification

Hey guys just so you all know i got this "patent pending"!!! on this one! Im coming out with a new line of conversion kits this spring! Like i said though i got this! Im going to have all different kinds of kits for converting your outboard to this style. The most recent conversion kit allows you to use a aluminum ore to controll duel yamaha 225's! The duct tape has been upgraded to the gorilla tape though for this application. I ran this conversion on the duel yamaha's just the other day on a offshore boat and it was pretty easy to steer with the aluminum are and the gorilla tape. You have to use a golf club though as linkage in between the 2 motors. And again more gorilla tape to the golf club and the 2 yamaha's to hold them together. The golf club idea was one that was years in development. We are using a titanium alloy club for max strength and weight. But you can controll the motors with a ore pretty well. Also there is the bicycle handlebars that you can mount to the console of a center concole and rotary system so that you can convert a center concole to a bicycle style steering. Best part is that the gear shifters on the bycycle handelbars controll the throttle and the brake handels on eather side controlls the trim tabs if you have them. That way you can get better hole shot and bust up on plane easier. And once you are on plane im going to sell a wing set for the sides of the boat so you can take off out of the water. This requires you to convert your outboards to fresh water cooling as once the lower unit leaves the water you have to hit a switch so water still runs through the powerhead. Ill give some pics later once i get out of the patent office here. Good luck to all and merry christmas and happy new year and to all a good nite! Ill be here later to show a vid! WTF????????

I bet the owner of that boat is well known for catching record size fish. Figure hes to busy fishin to worry about a minor boat problem.

Re: Bad Modification

....hilarious (......looks like a 'Langford man' owns it....local joke).
On the other hand, you have to hand it to a guy who would pull up to a dock looking like this. He probably gets more attention than an offshore racer....and that might be the very reason he has it.
I wonder if he is the same guy who converted his entire 30-40 year old half sunk dock (complete with bbq, deck chairs, swim ladder, home made diving board, etc) by mounting a motor bracket and motor on it....and heading out.
....well at the very least its a great source of amusement.
