I have a Magma that is rail mounted over the water the we grill on. A little on the pricey side definitely... but worth the extra cost. Not to mention that its over 4 years old and still holding up.

There it is- I assume you took regualar L brackets & bent as needed?

I didn't bend the brackets. I just bent some scraps of aluminum I had left from another project and bolted them on to the brackets. Glued some pads made from 1" wide rubber weather stripping to the inside of the brackets to prevent rattling.

Was told the same when i mentioned it to a couple friends here-
Needless to say-----THEY won't be eatin off it :p
Looked at a couple yesterday, Lowes had a real nice perfect sized stainless steel one that i liked but the dam thing didn't have a price on it- doubt thats a good sign but i'll go back & check it out

Those all look good...I've using one of these for a few years now....all SS...called a Cobb Grill .... I've never had to use more than 10 Briquets on a cook....the best thing about it is that the bottom mesh area never gets hot.....you can set it on a seat, the floor hold it in your hands or your lap ...move it as much as you want to while its cooking...does everything they advertise....

yes that is a Wber Silver, lol and it doesn't move an inch while we are cruising around usually by the time we go back to the ramp it has cooled down, and it being hot does not harm anyone since it hangs out over the edge.

Re: Bar B Que pits?

Think I got it-
Went with a charcoal from Lowes = $20 + 2 8" braces & 2 3" braces for $12
Want to see how it works & how often it gets used before i go with the very cool stainless gas one for $80
1st pic is in the stored position-in the back corner out of the way of anything-I put a bolt thru the fence to secure it, just need a 1/4" wing nut to make a quicker release-
2nd & 3rd are mounted- Made a good secure mount out over the water.
Thanks for all the tips & help ;)

That ought to do the trick nicely, Boss. Careful w/ the charcoal, it can get ugly real fast if it winds up in the boat. Good luck!!!

Yea that should work real fine. I went ahead and went with a SS one just because I plan on keeping my boat for many years to come and I am sort of fix it right the first time guy.

I picked one of these up on craigslist and it fits perfectly up on the bow between the front skirt and the bow rail. Its got a griddle and grill and grease trap plus a big cooler underneath. Best 75 bucks I've spent

True story. I personally ate some outstanding pork that was grilled on it. I just hope you don't submarine one day and lose it.

Been there, done that. Had to replace mine this spring because of that reason. My ideal little $9 grill is now in the bottom of Lake Wissota.

Well, on the charcoal thing i thought hard about it & realize i'll have to watch it close but i'm a charcoal/wood cooker at home so i want to give it a chance--Getting ready today to head out Saturday so i guess we'll see what happens. Also we have a lot of coves in the area we fish at so i thought i'd head into one to cook in so wind shouldn't be a factor much. Wife loves the idea! Might even get "dessert" as a reward for my efforts :p
