Batterie and Props

1- Do I set the switch on *both* while cruising in order to charge my batteries or just 1 ?
If so can the alternator support this ?

2- What is the difference btw a prop with 3 blades compared to 4 blades ?

Assuming a basic setup with no combiners/isolators, you would only be charging what is selected, i.e. select "both" to charge both. The alternator can support both.

That's easy...the first has 1 less blade (sorry, no prop knowledge here)
