the tabs should be as far outboard on the hull as possible (should be centered about where your tie down straps are). I'm amazed you don't also have cavitation problems with them mounted that close to the drive.

There is a step on the bottom, so that is the only location they could be placed, note shadow. According to Bennett, they had me measure while on the phone with them, they are far enough apart by several inches. The winged tabs give them extra bite on the water, so they are sending me a set without the wings so the toe in issue will be solved. I sent them several pics and they think this is the issue. I did not install any of this stuff on this boat just trying to get the kinks worked out. Looking for a prop as we speak, but seeing as this isn't the prop section I stayed away from that issue. THE FOIL IS HISTORY.

Off topic a bit but I would snug that boat up against it's winch post before towing.

The people I bought it from broke the strap and couldnt get it all the way up, as soon as it got to my house strap was fixed, backed into water and snugged up.

Good deal, I just found this thread searching about Bennett tabs. Mine aren't working at the moment, but their website has an excellent set of manuals, installation and owner's. Hopefully it's the fuse or something simple, I'm planning on going out tomorrow, and they are in the bow down position.

There is nowhere else to put them, the people at Bennett say they are fine as well, as long as they are 8" from centerline of boat and they are 13" Will try to install the new ones they sent me tomorrow.
