I am going up north to do some fishing this week. I generally take some time to look over my vehicle and trailer in advance to make sure I am 100% road worthy. Yesterday I was checking my tires and noticed that the tread on my truck tires was pretty worn and I had a lot of cracks in the tires. I decided even though I really dont have the money to do it, to get new tires before my trip. I asked them to put the old tires in the back of my truck so I wouldnt have to pay the disposal fee. When I was paying they told me I was lucky to have replaced them when I did. I figured that they were just saying that because they were happy to have my business. It wasnt until i examined them when I got home that I realized how truly lucky I was......

Here is a pic of one of the tires. 3 of the 4 were like this, and I didnt notice it when the tires were on the truck because they were on the back side of the tire. Here is a picture of my brand new ties. Dayton Timberline AT's. Moral of the story, and we have heard it before....its very important to check your vehicle tires.
