BiCarb Soda Baths And Some More Questions Bout My Stinger

I have on occasion used bi carb to dissolve the salt crusty corrosion, has anyone else tried it as an actual bath to soak badly crusty parts ? Cokes abit expensive to fill a 20 litre drum I need to pickle my head and water jacket cover.
The oheat sensor in the jacket was cactus so I knocked it out are these still available as a new item?
To fit trim n tilt will a later mid section work I can get a mid 70 s set up with T n T, be nice to have , I could attempt to jerry maybe a Merc ram onto it if I remove the wierd Tilt bracket on the stern clamp.
I will split the case later and pull the pistons out any traps for new kids with these?

Vinegar is cheaper the Coke(at least it is here), and stronger too, especially Pickling Vinegar(7%)

As for power trim, CMC makes a Trim system that will work for your app

I know it used to be used for cleaning Car/Truck Radiators

Oxalis acid is a good idea I’ll pick some up, brickies here use it to scrubs bricks once they done the brick walls, I have used it in my painting days to clean the black stains of cedar windows. Vineagar is another goodun to try, we have cleaning vineagar here think I have some we use on dog wee stains on the carpet
