We went from MN to Lake of the ozarks 2 years ago, don't recall any hills of note anywhere during the trip.

The hills going to tablerock are much bigger. That said, we've been pulling a 23' sea ray over those with a 5.3 liter equipped suburban just like your yukon for years with no problems.

The hills around LOZ arent as bad. Take the yukon though, its a better tow vehicle.

Ditto, I run LOZ and table rock each year. LOZ is not much for hills. Table Rock has a few 7% grades that will drop me out of over drive. Like every other poster, take the yukon.

Why LOZ when Mo has sooooo much better lakes to offer that aren't tainted with e-coli and fecal matter. I do fish there from time to time but Stockton or Pomme de Terre are my lakes of choice. Just my humble opinion.

Yessir... I think grade says it all. Those TN rollers can be tough... It sounds like I'll see a little of that on the way to LOTO. I don't mind makin' the GMC work for a livin'. I just wanna know beforehand, just how hard that's going to be. I think I've got a pretty good idea what I'm in-store for.

like stated above i'm not sure where you're staying or anything...but I live in central IL also. We head down multiple times every year and stay at a friends house on the water right off the dam. It is actually Lake Ozark, MO. The grade can be a little sketchy at times and throw you off a little bit towing a boat when you aren't used to it. You'll be fine in the yukon but stay alert and give yourself time to react to anything...the hills aren't something to brush off to the side like others have said lol... just my $.02

we take RT 36 to 54. If you don't mind me asking where are you from? 36 to 54 is much faster than you would think. Towing isn't bad either, only gets tight in a few areas...
