I have a '93 Tracker Pro17 and both the pumps are needing replaced. The bilge pump bottom cap (blue Rule) is riveted to a piece of aluminum that is riveted to the transom. How in the heck do you replace that? Drill out the rivets and put screws in place of the rivets? Kinda of a tight space to do that, was curious if anyone else has come across this. I really don't want to disturb the transom rivet if possible.

I know it's a tight fit but if you can get there, maybe you'll be able to split the pump from the bottom cap and replace with a new pump on the old cap that will stay there?

93 Pro 17 owner here. Previous owner ripped the bilge out and replaced with an aftermarket pump. He screwed it down with machine bolts/nuts from the bottom up. Sealed everything with epoxy. Works great.

He screwed it down in to the hull? Do you have any pics by chance?

I just replaced mine but it wasn't rivited to the transom it was screwed to a support on the left side of centerline, on the plate as you mentioned. It is a bear to get out and back in, no room for working there. Once you get the hoses off of it and the live well pump/aerator it all comes into focus.
