LOL...Dorman! The worst of the worst. Dorman has a horrible reputation and judging from the window regulator in my SIlverado, it is earned.

There are some parts you don't want to cut corners with. Oem is always the best way to go. Haven't heard of dorman myself.

I have used many Dorman parts. Mostly with success. But I don't use aftermarket stuff when quality & longevity matter. Can't justify saving 20 or 30 bucks and then redoing the whole thing.
Well actually that's a partial truth. I will sometimes use aftermarket if it's better than OE, like high performance stuff.

Well ****, I didn't have my good compressor and used my neighbors small one, it was really slow at getting the harmonic balancer back on and I ended up stripping my crankshaft threads, what can I do?

You will have to drill and tap it next size up. Not hard, the hole bottoms and isn't connected to any oil passages. When I have a tight one I use a short aluminum pipe the right size for the center of the balance without hitting the bolt and washer and use a dead blow hammer to tap, then thrun a little on the nut, then tap, then turn. Safer.

When you go to Rockauto and look at the prices for aftermarket suspension parts, you will find Dorman is by far the cheapest. The stuff they sell is junk.

Have to decide what is appropriate step up in size, then you need a tap that size, a handle for the tap and the right drill bit. Drill bit size is written right on the tap.
