I'm in the middle of getting my 1967 Sea Ray SRV 180 I/O ready to try out. I got it last fall, and it's in pretty sweet shape. The only floor rot I could find was section just forward of the engine cover. Seems they drilled some holes in the floor for a block to keep the cover in place. I'm in the process of repairing that section as I write. The Mercruiser 160hp runs and idles nicely, and it mechanically, it seems to function very well...from what I can tell from running it on the hose, anyway.
Here is the boat:

The P/O had the drive setup recently serviced with new cables, gimbal bearings, u-joints, u-joint bellows, exhaust bellows, water pump, shift cable and bellows, and much more, so it runs great.
Also, are these boats common in BLACK? I've never seen a black one and they look cool as Hell. (unless you sit on the edge with a bare leg in the hot sun!) I've even got the original little top that came with it...a bit ragged, but enough there to get a pattern to make a perfect one like the original.
I'll post some photos of it soon when we ger her out for a test run.
