Last weekend I was talking to someone about boating. They had a large 40'+ boat and when they fill up with gas its 500 gallons at a time vs my 30 gallons at a time. They asked me if I put the gas I use for boating on my taxes. I said no and asked what they were talking about. There version is that somehow they are able to put the gas for the boat on their taxes because the gas has a road tax built in and since boats don't use the road they get that tax back. Is this true and how do you keep track (ie prove) that the gas was used for boating. Seems like the Farm Diesel fuel issue.
Any input?

thanks
Chris
