I have an oldie too not that old...could use some sprucing up only a 14 footer with a 40<br /><br />Neighbor asked about it one time and I said.<br /><br />I can launch it with one hand, takes three turns of the winch to load it and I can pull start it if I want to..<br /><br />He thought about it for a moment and said theres a lot to be said for all of that.<br /><br />Dad has a larger boat only a 18 footer but still that extra 4 feet really make a boat a lot harder to deal with at the ramp
Hey, I had a shiny new boat once - 25 years ago! Still have the one owner. On the second engine, though. Had a guy pull in beside me at the launch ramp and say, "My, that's an old Skeeter!" I just smiled and agreed. He kept talking and soon he was wishing he had my boat, but I wasn't about to trade him for his newer shiny boat... sometimes ya just have ta edjumacate people.
