Re: Boat names.

haven't named my latest one..15'whaler ...thinking about calling her- tooth "ferry" <br /><br />past names include my previous boat owned with older brother -Billable hour- he is an attorney.....boat owned by myself as teenager that was a small runabout w/ motor&trailer costing $125 total that I called "put-put". But my favorite boat was 16'riveted(very leaky) alum. with a 7.5 ted williams air cooled that was so slow the ducks used to pass us. As I was pulling out of the harbor I had the coast guard call out over the PA on their 40' cutter "HEY... NO WAKE!!!!" The name stuck instantly when we stopped laughing!!!

Re: Boat names.

My first boat was a Regal 195 and I knew she would be just a starter boat so I named her "For Now". "For Now II" lasted 10 years and I've had "For Now III", a Regal 360 for 3 years. I guess I always hope there is another boat on the horizon.

Re: Boat names.

We named our new boat Hot Byte (hence my handle here). Side graphics are bright red and the kids kept coming up with "hot ????" names (e.g. hot fire, hot stuff, etc.). We were close to choosing Hot Boat but I work in computer support so we decided on Hot Byte.

Re: Boat names.

This is kind of fun reading the different names. I have had three boats. 1 no name, the other two "St. Andrew" and "St. Andrew II" I figured St. Andrew is the patron Saint of fisherman and I need all the help I can get, or when I have the kids with me...all the patience I can get!

It cost me plenty to refurbished my 1980 18' "Beachcraft". I'm thinking about naming her "Sum-beach"!

Re: Boat names.

my wife just helped my name mine. Was going to call it "East TX. Scaarab" (it's a 13' Boston Whaler 60's model) http://users3.ev1.net/~keltonkrew/whaler.html .<br /><br />She came up with another name that I will put on it after painting it this winter.<br /><br />"Dog House" because I'm always in the dog house. Worse now after getting the boat because she didn't want a boat in the first place. She doesn't realize that a man needs to fish!
