Re: Boat names.

Our first boat together....both in second marriage...but both fanatics around the water. Only one name seemed fitting!

Re: Boat names.

Haven't named the Bayliner (first boat in the water in 35 years).

My father's cabin cruisers (3) were, "Skir Dhu I, II & III" sequentially, which means "Black Rock" in Gaelic, and is named after a small community on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia where our family is from.

Since this bowrider Bayliner is not a c' cruiser, I'll probably name it something else, sometime.

Well, my first boat is a 1990 Baja 190... I think we are going to name it "The Ruff Life" or just "Ruff Life". Our last name is Ruff so it fits! :)

79' glasply named "floatsengose" because that's how the previous owner described the boat, and previous boat called hammerhead-looked like one

No the name had nothing to do with a bitter divorce ;)

It paid off to have the better lawyer :D

Re: Boat names.

Fourplay is also the name of our Chap 235XLC, but there only 3 of us, and I am repowering her, so we are searching for a new name.

We didn't name our previous boats, but I'm beginning to this we should have done so...

Re: Boat names.

Named my recently purchased boat - "Double H". Has two (hence Double) meanings actually. The first is Head Hole. My grown sons have lovingly referred to me as the Head ***Hole given my lack of patience with other drivers on the freeway. The second meaning is Hubby's Horse. The admiral recently got a horse and now I have my ride!

well the '59 FeatherCraft Ski-Bo i told the fiance i would call the "Amy Zee" after her, i have a wooden 19' mini cruiser made around mid 1950's yet to be named, and monday got a 1968 Evinrude "Playmate" on a matching 'rude trailer that looks like it needs a name like "go like hell" hahahha or something similar

Re: Boat names.

Opinions please....our 76 Starcraft has no name and I was thinking of surprising the wife with this. We met in 1976, same year as the boat was made, and the 70s' were a special time. I was thinking of naming it "DISCO DUCK" and have stick on pics of Donald and Daisy duck dancing on it. Not large ones but big enough to see? What about Disco Duck??

Re: Boat names.

I work in Corporate America and after our mtgs there's a summary of who has what to do, affectionately known as "action item". So what do you all think about "Action Item" as a boat name? The whole reason for the boat was to get away from work and spend more time with the family.

Sorry, but you asked! As a front row observer to the infamous Disco-Demolition at the old Comisky Park in Chicago, I would have to make every effort to convince you to hold out for something better. While we are all guilty of tapping our feet to "Staying Alive", at one time or another, Disco SUNK ! How about "HAZY DAZE" or "SEVEN-T's", or how about " I KNOW IT'S ONLY ROCK-N-ROLL BUT I LIKE IT" ! Just a suggestion.

Good Luck

Re: Boat names.

Haven't had my boat too long and looking to name her this winter. Because of my profession I'm thinking something along the lines of:
Round Tripper
Touch 'em all!
America's Pastime
Who's on First?
Frozen Rope
Hit 'em where they ain't
Clutch Hitter
It ain't over till its over

What do ya think? Any other ideas?
