start writing down those new parts and save them somwhere on the computer so you can just copy and paste when you need it.. i deff say go with 5500. like i said before you can always go lower.

Gary - That is one beautiful almost 30 year old boat. Wow and i thought mine was in decent shape.
I have sold several cars on ebay (mostly corvettes) I have found that the more info the better. List ALL items put into the boat with as much history as possible and it might be good to layout the parts paperwork on a table and take a picture of it to document it. The more info the better.

Where did you come up with $4500 - $5500? Chris-Craft is a top quality boat, and yours looks close to showroom. I'd think of maybe bumping up from that price range. You're not selling 'a boat', you're selling a classic, and people looking for one know that. Just my $.02...
