Good looking boat there Gary!

Here's my thoughts on the pics
#1 too much background, need more of the boat in the pic
#2 same as above
#3 good close-up
#4 good
#5 nice reflection on the hull

Needed pictures;
- bow to show (or not) if the hull is scratched up from beaching
- more close-up pictures like #3
- interior shots
- picture of outboard with hood off

(EDIT: see you added a few more pics, those look good)

If I was selling something that nice I would be attaching 10-20 pictures to the auction.

Best of luck

Re: Boat pictures for Ebay

Thanks for the input,
My camera battery was going dead and i had just washed the floor and did not want to muddy it up...LOL!
I will get more close ups.
The bottom has no wear thru the gel coat from beaching. It was always stored in a slip or on the trailer.
I'm leaning towards the 5500 price.
New Composite transom was over 1000,
Rebuilt lower,Those seats are new,They were over 400 bucks for the 2 rear ones...
Man i could write a book of all the new parts..Starter,coils,wires,battery,tires,fuel lines, fuel sender and gauge.....on and on....

Yes...I will be looking for an open bow.Something a bit smaller.
I would keep this boat if i lived closer to the coast but all my boating is on lakes.

Gary - That is one beautiful almost 30 year old boat. Wow and i thought mine was in decent shape.

I have sold several cars on ebay (mostly corvettes) I have found that the more info the better. List ALL items put into the boat with as much history as possible and it might be good to layout the parts paperwork on a table and take a picture of it to document it. The more info the better.

Again what a nice classic ride, I wish I had another slip!!

Thanks for all the input so far,
Its going to the lake tomorrow so i will get some more pics and try some "action" shots if i can get the GF to stay on shore with her big Nikon camera.
The more i look at the pics the less i want to sell it...:D

You know Robert that it would take that Lake Norman chop without any problem...;)

Thats one huge thing i love about it...rough water is no problem.

Absolutely gorgeous! From the bow to stern, that is a sweet boat!

Where did you come up with $4500 - $5500? Chris-Craft is a top quality boat, and yours looks close to showroom. I'd think of maybe bumping up from that price range. You're not selling 'a boat', you're selling a classic, and people looking for one know that. Just my $.02...

Thanks!
the 4500 is close to what i have invested in it.Plus who knows how many hours of labor but thats not a selling point.
I did see one just like it sell at a dealer this summer. It was the same boat but had a Yamaha engine on it.They were asking 6900 for it and got it.
Mine looked in better condition than that one did.

I just filled the gas tank and put Stabil in it.That was 200 bucks..
I will burn about 1/4 tank of that tomorrow.
Also gave it 3 cans of Seafoam just in case it sets for awhile.
The fuel tank is 80 gallons.
If i end up selling it with a full tank that will be added to the price.
Thats 280 bucks worth of fuel..

Gary, You need to keep that boat, if it handles the chop well and smaller boat will not ride as good. That is one fine looking boat, you could put that in a new showroom and put the new ones to shame. If you are going to still sell you need to bump that price up, after all it is a classic, real buyers will know that and pay a higher price than you are talking about now.

Re: Boat pictures for Ebay

i know what you paid for it. but it is well worth what you are thinking, what ever you do, put a reserve on it. then if it gets to where you can live with it, you can remove the reserve.
