Re: Boat Purchase Decision Help - 1993 Glastron 17.5' Merc. 3.0l - 4 cylinder I/O

Thanks for the quick responses and for saving me the trouble.
Latest update is that I've played some phone tag with the Lund boat owner. Left him voicemails expressing interest and sounding serious about making something happen with it in the near future (without sounding too excited

).
Also, the Krusty Krab owner reached back out to me and said that he'd let me know by Sunday if he was willing to deliver the Krab for $900.
I'd say, with two boats outstanding, I've got a 50/50 chance of owning a boat come the end of next week (based on having not seen the Lund in person yet and it almost being too good to be true and then the fact that the Krab owner is a super unmotivated seller in terms of actually taking money for the boat and getting it out of his driveway (I thought he'd jump at the chance to move it the day I showed up and figured that instead of bargaining him down, the offer of delivering it to me for his asking price would seem reasonable and he'd have it gone). Maybe I'm expecting too much from people? I'm typically the type of person that fills up the tank before handing off a car I'm selling.
We'll see - excited at the possibility of having something I can put around in for a month on the lake and then put up on the trailer and work on over the winter (visions of a home made tarp garage with kerosene heater already dancing in my head

). Typically, how far into one of these projects does the thought of "wtf did I get myself into" hit?
Thanks,
Jon
