Re: Boat Ramp Submerged Debris- What are my rights?
MW001 how about this one: in Connecticut we have a state ramp that for years had a "sometimes marked" rock about 100 feet out from the ramp. The top of the rock was plated with aluminum and fiberglass. Sometimes it had a buoy on it and sometimes it didn't. Even with the buoy there, it often wasn't on the rock. Most people found it the "hard" way, bang, bang, bang, bang. It was supposed to have been removed within the last couple of years, and I didn't see it last time I went there, but then I didn't see it once when I had just put on a new prop either. Anyway, that ramp has been home to a lot of boating equipment over the years, including one of the brand new rollers I just put on my trailer two weeks ago, the first time that roller was used. I got so frustrated I came home and put on one of the old ones I just took off so I could go fishing again. <br />Hope you enjoy the forum here, even if you don't always get the answer you're looking for it's usually entertaining. Good luck with your boat, and if you need a prop check out Ebay.
