Spent time in the area (Holy Loch - US Navy North Atlantic Submarine base). My kin are from the area (AYR). Firths and canals everywhere. Best trout fishing I ever experienced in icy streams. I think that lift allows boat travel from Glasgow to Edinburough across the country. Anyone know maximum vessel size it can lift?
"Anyone know maximum vessel size it can lift?" that was what i was looking for, they told us on the Discovery channel, but i don't remember. seem like it took small barges, and those ferries.
