gotta love the great outdoors - SUCK MY WAKE!!
OK, we get yer drift. Enough. I think FL OK for some, not me..flat as a pancake..summer humid puts most on there knees..afternoon downpours, etc.
I LIKE to wrench boat and bikes. I LIKE tinkering in my shop with the wood stove going, friends over telling lies and drinking beer.
I DON'T mind the gray, cool drizzly PNW winters, (summers are perfect here) the Puget Sound water that I'm looking up an inlet 5 miles right now out the window.
The 3 National Parks I can be at in 2 hours, 14000 foot mountains, the many miles of back road twisties on the bikes, hour to the Ocean (which we can drive on the beach..), inland lakes everywhere. Fish year round if ya want to....drag a snowmobile into the mountains for a day, many ski resorts..
Varity..the spice of life.![]()
Yes! That was it. I was trying to figure out which Bond film had Jaws in it, and at the end of the boat scene, Bond grabs the integral hanglider, and serenely soars into the jungles below, while Jaws has that "i am about to crap in my pants" look about him.Bond film "Moonraker" had that Gorgeous "cammie sounding" Hi-Perf. V8 Glastron Carlson
call me sick and twisted...but i thought "The Perfect Storm" was a great boating movie! sure...the ending wasn't happy, but the power of the sea was captured pretty well. on the same token, i like watching those alaskan crab reality shows on discovery channel (Deadliest catch?).
And this has to do with boating movies...how?
PS..."suck my wake" was the name of a boat, fromt the movie "The Great oudoors"

No, it simply means ya been here a month posting, ya have a shovel, the hole is getting deep, ya keep digging, your "greatness" (just go read "Can I Die" thread) is being drowned out by the depth of the hole and most can't (or won't) hear you anymore..... and I just turned ya off too....
(and as ya AINT been around enough, it was dig at a comment made in another thread about how Florida people don't do winter...)
Also was this post directed at you? No, but yer GD nose is everywhere here..shut up...not a kiddie smartass forum...the greatest on earth boating forum here, and you contribute GD ZIP..(ya remind me of that "Trog" jerk from a few years back....never shut up)..and ya probably won't here either..(Onward..through the fog)
I'm looking for movies filmed almost entirely on or near water or on a boat. Jaws comes to mind of course. Deliverance did not. There must be others.
