Feals a little better than this morning. popped a few stiches from walking to the potty:eek:. Self medication with coors helped alot..LOL

Gonna try to get to work in the morning. Sitting around the house with the wife all day doesn't help either:D I keep forgetting im not 21 anymore I gotta slow down.

I always carry a ladder to get in and out of my boat when its on the trailer and this is the first time i didnt use it....never again
Thanks,
Denny

Yeah, I am so glad I put a swim ladder on my swim platform, I think I use it more on land!

Re: Boating the Upper Chesapeake

We were out sat and sunday we had a great time weather could of been better on sat. fishing and crabbing was good. We were in the shipping channel east of shad battery shoal yesterday in 23' of water and hit something that lifted the back of my boat out of the water. took some paint off the drive and roughed the eges on my prop Whatever I hit left white paint marks on my drive. Thought I was in big trouble at first all i pictured was my drive being ripped off in the middle of the bay.....It started to get Rough on incomming tided around 12:00-12:30 stuffed my bow once and we headed back to the bush.

The guy who was in the slip next to us caught a 2' 1/2" bull shark 1/2 mile NE of pooles island sat evening and had pictures to prove it.

We got back home late last night i was in my boat taking coolers out and when i was getting out i was in bear feet and slipped off my trailer fender and i basicly fell under my trailer and my foot got stuck in the roller brackets. I broke 2 toes and got a bunch of stitches on the bottom of my foot from the big toe "ball" to the pinky toe and fillet the middle of my foot "no skin" Fun Fun:eek:(at that time I actuall thought I ripped my foot off)) No work today...I wanted a long weekend but not under these surcumstances.;)
Denny

Are the boat and trailer ok?:p

OUCH!!!!
My feet hurt just reading this.
Keep the medicine going and heal up quickly.

Hope you heal up quickly and get back to work soon! It is no fun being stuck at home not being able to do something, even if it is just work!

Re: Boating the Upper Chesapeake

I wish!!! Sadly, my boating for the year might be done! I am stuck at work both days this weekend and next weekend. The following weekend is my sisters wedding and then the way work is going, I will probably be stuck at work straight through the next 2 weekends. Then we will be down in Cancun for vacation the last 2 weekends of October. There is a small chance I might get out on October 4th, depending on how the wedding goes on the 3rd.

We were hoping to hook up with you guys once more yet this year, but I don't know what is going to happen. It is looking like a pretty slim chance!

Have fun for me out there tomorrow!

Anyone going out Sunday?

I'll be onboard Saturday, staying overnight and leaving Sunday morning.
Hope the fish are biting in the back channel, 'cause that's where I'll be lurking!

I'll be at the shop later today, maybe I'll swing down and say hey this afternoon. Good luck with the fish!

Likewise....enjoyed the company!
As I said, keep your eyes peeled and sooner or later you'll find a sweet deal- but probably not as sweet as that one.
Wish I had known about it before they settled.

For those who are wondering- there's a 32' Trojan sedan on my dock that's been sitting in a slip unused for at LEAST 5 years (summer and winter).
Until Saturday I'd never seen anyone onboard. The owner sold it to a dock worker for $100. That's not a typo- one hundred bucks!
It needs some work but geez, it floats and just the stainless bimini rails are worth that much!

Arks - How was the fishing?
Not that good Brandon, but I did snag 3 -2 yellow perch and 1 smallmouth. Didn't matter too much becase of the OUTSTANDING weather.
Late summer/early fall is definitely the BEST time of year in this region.

Sorry to hear that, it was a beautiful day though!!!! We did run to the river for a couple of hours after I got out of work. Beautiful weather! Took Chloe, our 6 year old golden retriever puppy out for her second boat ride. She had a great time.

We spent 5 hours out today, what a fantastic late Summer day. Water was 74.7?, but ended up not swimming.
I have some pics of what looks like an overturned buoy off of TP, we thought it was a pontoon boat at first!

Hey Scott - Where was that water temp at? When we were down last weekend the North East River was 64?F to 68?F. I figured it was because of all the rain over that weekend.

Glad to hear its not that cold yet, was beginning to think my watersports might be done for the year!

That was at Cara cove. I noticed the water was exceptionally clear, and there was a lot of debris in the NE.
