Just pulled my drive off 5 minutes ago and am going to drop it off to be resealed and inspected. This will make 2 weekends in a row we missed boating

What happened? Preventive maintenance? We will be down next weekend again!! Looking at taking a couple days off the first week of October as well. We will see what happens.

We should start working out when we are going to do a fall cruise and raft-up, if anyone is interested this year.

October for sure. Last year we tried it Nov 1st and Brandon and Stacey and I were the only participants!

I was forcing oil out of my reservoir(for the outdrive) so when I drained the drive I found I was picking up less than a cup of water, somewhere. I figured better safe than sorry.
We should be good for next weekend though!

None of my stuff is going into storage this year, so I am able to go just about anytime.
On a side note, Lime4x4 just texted me about going crabbing down there this coming weekend. I have to see how the week pans out, but there may be a chance I'll be up on the Elk this coming saturday, if we decide to go.

On a side note, Lime4x4 just texted me about going crabbing down there this coming weekend. I have to see how the week pans out, but there may be a chance I'll be up on the Elk this coming saturday, if we decide to go.

Mine is never in storage either, and with FWC I can go out on any nice day.

We should make plans for a fall color raft up at Lloyd's or Still Pond or somewhere.

I'm having the drive completely rebuilt from driveshaft to prop.

I made the mistake of taking a mechanic's word he knew what he was doing. I've since learned better, but it was an expensive lesson. From then on, I've done all the maintenance and repairs myself, with the exception of the drive rebuild since I don't have the special tools needed.

I hope to be able to run down to the upper Chesapeake one of the first two weekends in October.

I should clarify, as long as it isn't the first weekend (2-3) I'm in. I am in a wedding that weekend. Otherwise I'm free and would prioritize that above all else!

oct 30th works for me. I think the problem last year was it was on a sunday. For me it's a 3 hour drive to the upper bay. So i would prefer a saturday
