This Tige is cursed. There is a line where I sanded the edge of that first batch of flake that somehow didn't get filled in after flake, 3 coats of gel clear, and 4 coats of automotive clear. So now I get to spray it a fourth time. I want to punch something.
I had a similar experience painting a 74 Buick Lesabre convertible years ago for my aunts then significant other. I was young and doing side hustle summers while in school.… man I had to paint that thing 3-4 times due to lifting issues not using a sealer , whole bunch of chit I learned the heard way. Even tripped over the air hose while cleaning my gun and splashed lacquer thinner across the hood that I had just sprayed. Was just cursed the whole way took forever and I just ate chit burgers and made no money on the job.

guy was a lawyer threatened to sue me bc it was taking so long. I was 18 or 19 doing a dirt cheap paint job on a rusty POS.… Karma caught up as his trans blew on the way home when he picked it up...

Some jobs are just like that. The ones before and after will go fine, but this one just seems to hate you for some reason.

Anyway, we got the wrong flake again.

Finished the truck hood this morning.

Then sprayed the basscat (forgot pics), cut some boards for stringers for a coworker, and brushed some bilge coat in the Boss's ski locker. He has a Bravo that's been sitting half finished in the barn for a while.

I have to say that the boats that are being discussed are way too expensive for this old country guys. I am proud of my 1979 Fishmaster 160 StarCraft Aluminum boat that I have almost finished rehabbing! Yes , it is not anything special but it is all I need for fishing in the rivers and channels around here in Eastern NC . So far it has been a money pit but I have put a lot of effort into this project and so far I haven’t been able to get it done and in the water. So I will definitely try to get it out and in the water next week!
