i have gotten rid of several by the "free boat" method. bought the boat to get the trailer. it saves landfill fees.

question on selling fiberglass,

many have said to give the fiberglass boat away for free, then sell the trailer...
would it not be better to just sell the fiberglass hull and trailer together as a project boat?

if i give the boat away and sell the trailer, how much should i ask for the trailer (tires hold air, but are dry rotted and the trailer has surface rust)?

if i try to sell them together, what would be a fair price?

$100 just my opinion. then your rid of both and still have the engine. Or you could grind off the rust, prime and paint the trailer and probably get a couple hundred for it

kenny that Trailer with good tires and not much rust is worth probably $250 so $100 as is and you got most on your money out of it. If the guy that wants the free boat but not the trailer. Drop the boat off and take the trailer home and work on it a couple days then sell it. If I was closer I would gladly give you $100 for it as is. In fact where are you? You didn't name it in your profile.
