With our growing family we decided to get something with more space than our 18' ski boat, so we purchased a 2012 sweetwater 200 tritoon. We still need to purchase a trailer and are looking for recommendations.
The dealer did have trailers available. They were asking about 2500 with the tritoon kit. I did not buy the trailer because we don't need until may. Thought maybe I could find A deal.
Rooster, we boat in lake monona and mendota here in Wisconsin. Got a 115 merc. Could not justify stepping up to the 150.
I recommend you go back to the dealer and buy the trailer he offered. Its a good deal. With our growing family we decided to get something with more space than our 18' ski boat, so we purchased a 2012 sweetwater 200 tritoon. We still need to purchase a trailer and are looking for recommendations.
I can pick this trailer up. Only a few hours away. I am not planning to get brakes. I tow with f150 that has plenty of braking power. Our ski boat and trailer weight about the same and I had no problems.
I beg to differ. 20' tritoon with a 115 will come very close to if not exceed the standard 3500 lb. axle. It will be far more stable with tandem axles.Beautiful, can't wait to see pics. That 115 should do nicely on a 20' triple tube. Even w/ the 3rd tube, I don't think you need a dual axle trailer w/ brakes. Single w/o brakes should do the trick, depending upon your tow vehicle. Good luck !!!
