I bought my aftcabin cruiser because it had a full head. with kids, I always worry that were 10 mins out and they have to go. having said that, how do you bowrider guys get around that issue? throw them in the water? portapotty under the seat and erect a tent?

asking because I fell in love with a baja islander 208 with a 454 merc bravo1

throw them in the water, bottle or coke can for the boys, if an outboard mom and my sister use to sit on the splash well, then just a little rinse. a bucket also works for the girls.

Jump in and let 'er go! With appropriate warm water jokes, of course...

Yup, the boys love to stand on the swim platform and see how far the stream goes. Oh, and Dad generally wins. :D The girls get wet. For the other, we generally head to a marina.

bilgepump!

I almost fell out of my chair laughing, never thought about that. I thought people frown on "polluting" the lake

besides, that's easy I was more concerned with "other"

Everyone goes over. We don't boat the water isn't right.

Funny story: I had my lab out on the boat (I run a university laboratory), and one of the female graduate students couldn't bring herself to "go". We had to leave her in a cove for 15' and go tubing, everything was ok when we got back.

just splash a little bit and it's gone. we have a port a potty on the deck boat, i still pee off the swim platform. the port a potty is for the other, and it better be an emergency. i have to dump it.

First thing I do is find any establishement around the lake. Certain pep that boat with me will not pee in the lake.

Oh, the other. Emergency paper and a trip to shore. Only needed it once, and was for the BIL, not the kids.

Should have told him to face up river and let it go.................

For the other and kids we have a little bucket and some plastic grocery bags. Place the bag in the bucket and it is easy to dispose of on shore in the trash.

Use a bucket and small trash bags. When you are done bundle it up and throw it away later.

If you pee off the side or swim platform, take note of the wind direction first! :D

Some folks mention a bucket and a bag, others seem to be fine with dropping a deuce in the lake... There's even a post in SHT about it. Does anybody know the legality of doing so? The possible effects of it? Other than a sense of relief for you.

As for taking a leak, I'll jump in and swim around a bit. Most of the time it's nice to get wet anyway, two birds with one stone and all...

I would like to think (unless I have missed something) that everyone above has been referring to "pee", cause if any one here is "passing a duece" in the water that's disgusting, don't for a second refer to yourself as a responsible boater if you take a dump in the lake!

Re: bowriders and kids?

I stand of the swim platform when my time comes, my wife squats over a bucket at the back where no one can see and then rinses it out overboard (the hose and a drain hole is right there just in case) and my kids (who can't hit the bucket) either go in or pee in a little storage compartment on the rear swim deck. It floods with water often when we come off plane and the hose is there to spray it down. The get a kick out of it and is handy if the water is cold or if they are liery of going in. We do have the staroge area under/infront of the Helm which came with an option to put in a toilet with a holding tank and a pump out, not so sure if we really need it anymore
