Did someone ever install a kit of Boyensen reeds part number 234 on a Force engine ?

I am on my way to install mines on my 75-hp 1998 and in the instruction sheet they say to discard reed stops if there are rev plates provided in the kit, which this is I have, but somewhere at the end there is a note saying for Force/Chrysler installed stock reed stops ???

I am confused

Momo

Momo, You should post this in the Chrysler, Force Repair. I'm sure those guys will be glad to help. Goodluck,
Bob

Re: Boyensen ?

momo05 before we get moved, the reed stop is for the stock stainless reedplates only...in all cases I know of, the reeds come with a plate that covers the pivot side of plates, and there is no stops-unless they are in the kit. If the stops (factory) are installed with the boyesens, unless specified to do so, engine performance will be poor.
