My brake calipers came with the bleed screws mounted in 1/8? NPT brass adaptors. The problem is that the bleed screws leak so bad around the threads that I can't get the brakes bled completely.
If I used the tubing method you can see air being drawn into the tube from around the threads. If I try to use a vacuum bleeder the screws leaks so bad that I can?t draw a vacuum.
I was going to order new, hopefully better quality, bleed screws but I?m not convinced that I?ll not end up with the same problem. I noticed that some of the after market screws come with some sort of the sealer on them. Does anyone know what they use for a sealer or can recommend a better solution?
