i am to the point of having to up-date the drive on our sea-ray 230 weekender with a 7.4 alpha 1
i was sure i wanted a b3 to eleminate wig-wag and back up straighter and to cruise with more ease and fuel efficiency.
i was talking to a dealer today that told me i should look at a bravo 1 because the 3 dosnt back up very well and allso takes more fuel because your pulling two props. he dosnt care for the 3 and dosnt recomend them unless you run twin engines and heavy boats.
i thought you got better fuel milage because you were able gain less slipage with the dule prop set up and allso would track straigher both directions because of the offset prop wash.
i am confused now and any and all coments and opnions will be welcome
had i listened to don i should have bought this boat with a 350 or found a 7.4 with a bravo drive. i dont mind changing the drive now but i want to make sure i get it right this time
