Bravo One impeller help!!!!

I'm having impeller trouble. I changed it with a Quicksilver kit, but when I start the boat on Muffs, no water comes out the bottom of the drive and the spray off the muffs doesn't change whether engine is on or off. I have great water pressure to the muffs.

PLease help and give some ideas what to check. Thanks in advance!

Does any water come out the exhaust relief ports up at the transom?

Did you accidently reverse the input and output hoses on the pump? (It happens)

Thats what I meant by bottom of the drive, I just couldn't remember the correct term for it. No, Nothing out the relief.

I might have, I'm about to go recheck things in just a min, I was a little miffed and needed to cool off, before I set the whole dang the on fire. LOL

Update:

I had the hoses reversed, smoked the impeller, another 80 bucks spent and another new kit on the way.

Why did you spend $80 on an entire kit? Why not just $27ish on the impeller?

He probably has a plastic housing, and they get melted too when run dry.

Yep, I just took the edges off the impeller, but rather be safe than sorry. Rather 80.00 than 3500.00for a new engine.
