Well, I'm Still standing by the backdoor Waiting for the UPS driver.... 43 hours,+ he Still Isn't Here Yet.....<br /><br />I Thank You All for the Inlightenment..... Ralph, I've learned All most as much here, as I have in the last 4 years(Didn't know How to turn 1 Off then)..... <br />And the links that have been posted.... They're Great... New Forums... Now I have to learn a New lingo... I've been sulking around there All day + night.....<br /><br />With the Leap Forward this box brings, I'll wait,+ See If & Where any Up-grading needs to be done....<br /><br />Thanks Again Guys.....<br /><br />I'll see ya up in the I/O forums...

Ralph - The RISC thing was a really poor attempt at wit. I've been into the electronic side of computers since the '80s, and am very familiair with RISC processors and the theory behind them. I have the databooks to prove it. :) <br />I guess AMDs new chips are very fast RISC cores emulating x86 instructions... In fact if memory serves me, the Am386DX40 worked that way too.<br />I think your right - there are fewer good independant retailers in the mass market areas. I guess they get sacraficed to the great consumerism demand, "I want it all and I want it cheap!" :) <br /><br />PS - I've got some compaq 84-pin FPM RAM and a 26-pin compaq floppy drive with no faceplate for ya! Oh, and a buggy Zoltrix sound card that's got a PC Magazine Editor's choice award. - Come on, they give those things out to whoever sends them hardware! They used to be a joke, they aren't now?
